Oral Thrush is so common in babies ๐ถ๐ผ

And can be painful too โฆ ๐ฃ
So what is Thrush? ๐คทโโ๏ธ
It appears as white patches in baby's mouth. A very common infection in the mouth of babies that is caused by a yeast like Fungus Candida Albicans.

Usually nothing serious, however it can be uncomfortable and painful. Also it can cause difficulties with feeding ๐คฑ๐ผ๐ผ
So how can you recognize Thrush in baby/mama?
๐น Baby has visible patches on his/her tongue, lips, gums, cheeks.
๐น The patches look like milk or cottage cheese and cannot be wiped away.
๐น Bottle feeding or sucking on a pacifier can be painful/uncomfortable.
๐น The corners of babyโs mouth may crack.
๐น Mamas nipples are itchy, red, shiny and sometimes you can even see yeast on them.
โ๏ธThere are some babies with Thrush that donโt experience any pain or discomfort.
